Birch Demo

Had a great time at my daughter's teaching practicum last week demonstrating my birch painting technique. The demo was for a group of kids in ages ranging from 5-12 with about 15 kids in total. We talked about trees and how they communicate with each other (a true fact actually). I then showed them how I create the birch trunks with palette knife work and create falling leaves in the forest. They then tried it themselves and did a pretty fantastic job! Art education is for any age... thanks for the opportunity! The birch forest mural will have a permanent spot for the kids to see what they have accomplished. Here are some photos of the session.....
