Whether I am working on a representational or abstract piece, my major preoccupation is capturing the energy of the moment. Each painting invites the viewer to consider it beyond the sum of its parts.

The emotion of colour informs the creative process for me as I paint. My abstracts are about the strength of colour and their emotional connection and on themes of renewal and re-emergence. My most recent series of black and white abstracts focuses more on an examination of texture and form in acrylic when colour is stripped down to its basics. I work primarily in acrylic, often using it as a watercolour medium.

Based in Toronto, my works can be found in private collections throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
